VeRy WaCkY WEdnESdaY

On Wacky Wednesday we dressed up WACKY. We dressed up as fairies, colorful people, funny ballerinas with colourful skirts and even a stick woman in real life. Wacky Wednesday is not that fun. You need to be brave to be able to go to school all wacky.

Olympics slides

In Te Maunga we learned about the Olympic games. We learnt what types of Olympics there are like the Ancient Olympics and the Modern Olympics. My favourite thing to learn was when we were researching a famous Olympian, one of the Olympian was Hidilyn Diaz. I learned she used to be an airwoman, which means a female pilot or member of the crew. Not everything was easy, I had to make my punctuation correct.

PAL Day!

On the last day of term 3 we did lots of fun activities. We played dragon's tail, yoga ball soccer, rob the nest and dodgeball. One thing that I liked doing was getting dragon tails from the other kids. It was not as easy as it sounded like. We were all so hot and some of us were even sweating.

Another measurement DLO!

In Te Maunga we have been doing maths. We learnt what an Area is and Perimeters. Area is counting the inside of the shape and Perimeter is counting the outside of the shape. My favourite part was making my own shapes to fit the correct Area to put in the shape. Not all of it was easy. I had to explain the work that I did again on my DLO.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori

In Te Maunga we have been doing Te Reo Maori. I have learnt about what black, white and red in Maori; they are Pango, Ma and Whero. One thing that I liked doing was when we did a puzzle to complete. Not all of the activities were easy, some of them I needed to ask a teacher to translate a Maori number.

Lockdown

At home I did some baking, played chess with my family and played on my rollerblades. I learned about chess and learned how to use rollerblades. The one thing that I liked was when I was using rollerblades near my house. Using rollerblades is not that easy. It took me 3 day to use rollerblades and I'm still learning how to stop on my rollerblades.

Our science experiments!

In Te Maunga we did science experiments in groups.  We learned that if you pull a rubber band car back a little bit it will go further than if you pull back heaps of times. The one thing that I liked was when we had to see which fizzy drink would have the highest explosion and it was orange that went the highest. Not all of the parts were easy. We had to make a procedural text on what happened.

The amazing Nanogirl!!!

In Te Maunga we watched some experiments from Nanogirl in the whare. One thing that I liked was when Nanogirl had fire on her hand. Not all of it was not that easy to remember. I kept forgetting which experiments she did.

My Research about someone

In Te Maunga we did a research project. We learned who made the first lightbulb in America. One thing that I learned was that Thomas Edison, the person who made the lightbulb, had a big family tree. Not all parts of the research project were that easy. The name of the places was hard to remember.

Astronomy slides

In Te Maunga we did astronomy slides. We learned about taking notes, getting quotes and making everything make sense. One thing I liked learning was about making our posters, one on the chromebook and one on paper. Not all of the slides were that easy because I had to find what stars are made out of and it was in the text about the sun.
